We offer two distinct services in church on Sunday mornings to provide for a diverse and growing community. These give different pathways into encountering God and varied opportunities to worship together.
Our 9.00am service is a traditional Anglican service, incorporating the beauty of liturgy and the richness of organ-led musical worship. There is a short sermon and prayers. Every week we celebrate Holy Communion together, with prayer ministry available. The 9.00am service lasts approximately 1 hour.
Our 10.45am service has an informal and contemporary feel, with the opportunity for extended musical worship led by the band. We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of the month, and prayer ministry is an integral part of this service, giving us an opportunity to respond to God. Our kids’ and youth groups meet during this service, and on occasions the whole church family comes together for All-Age Worship. The 10.45am service lasts approximately 90 minutes.
Although legal restrictions in England were lifted on 19 July, our PCC has agreed to retain certain measures for services in our church building. This is in recognition of continuing risks of transmission of the virus particularly in busy indoor spaces as well as a desire that all who wish to attend can feel safe to do so. These include an expectation and recommendation that face masks continue to be worn by all adults attending (unless exempt) and social distancing being maintained. We will continue to facilitate social distancing by seats remaining well spaced apart and would ask that those attending continue to respect social distancing at all times in church. Please see further detailed guidance on attending services in our church building.
Please note that we are no longer asking people to pre-book places – there is plenty of space even with seats being socially distanced.
Each week the sermon from our 10.45am service will be video-recorded and released via our YouTube channel around 3pm on Sunday afternoon.
